| David Bellamy praises Carillion's eco building Famous botanist David Bellamy applauded an eco building built by support services and construction company Carillion while presenting the company with its third industry award this year. The impressive building was presented with a Gold Award in the category of the Built Environment and Architectural Heritage scheme, run by the Green Organisation. The building is the centre piece of a brand new £8m works depot and is home to the City of York Council's Commercial Services department. This is the third industry award the ground-breaking project has won this year which includes: - Institution of Civil Engineers (Yorkshire & Humberside) 'Highly Commended Award'. - Considerate Constructors. 2007 National Award Winner.
