| Bouygues Construction inaugurates job bus Bouygues Construction subsidiaries Bouygues Travaux Publics and Quille (based in Rouen, Normandy) have adopted an innovative recruitment technique – the job bus – to find 400 new workers in the Manche region on France's north-western coast. Bouygues Construction ran this local recruitment campaign in partnership with the French national employment agencies ANPE and APEC, the French electricity utility EDF and the Manche departmental council. The aim was to fill vacancies for the EPR nuclear power plant project in Flamanville. From 16 March to 6 April 2007, the job bus stopped at 19 towns near Flamanville and reached a large number of local jobseekers. Recruitment teams and site managers from Bouygues Travaux Publics and Quille received more than 1,800 applicants sent by ANPE and APEC. The group will thus have no difficulty in finding the 400 additional workers it needs to carry out the project, which will employ a total of 800 staff in peak periods.
