| JGC awarded refinery upgrade project in Singapore Yokohama-based JGC Corporation has been awarded a contract by Singapore Refining Co. Pte. Ltd. (SRC), a 50:50 joint venture owned by Singapore Petroleum Co. Ltd. and Chevron, for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of a refinery upgrade project. This project is located at Jurong Island in Singapore. Project completion is scheduled for March 2009. The contract calls for the EPC of an ultra-deep light oil desulphurization unit and related facilities. The contract value is approximately US$81 million.
