Peri formwork solution

Highest architectural concrete requirements for columns and walls cost-effectively fulfilled with system formwork without any special architectural concrete demands, the variable VARIO GT 24 girder wall formwork system in particular provides the basis for realizing all demanding geometrical and surface requirements. The architectural design calls for a special joint and tie arrangement for the visible reinforced concrete walls. For this, pre-assembled ready-to-use VARIO formwork units are being used whereby the plywood formlining joints have already been accurately bevelled at the Peri assembly facilities along with the exact positioning of the anchor cones plus the additional blank cones. Through the Peri formwork solution together with optimal concrete quality and processing, the contractors are in a position to easily achieve the best results: structurally-designed fairfaced concrete walls featuring fine triangular-shaped pilaster strips and a uniform tie pattern.

In order to be able to construct the up to 9.72 m high and 70 cm thick wall sections without ties, the wall formwork elements are effectively strengthened by means of rentable system equipment. Versatile usable RCS climbing rails as vertical walers and high load-bearing HDT main beams as lateral waling provided here a safe transfer of load in the laterally positioned anchoring points – located outside of the up to 5.44 m long concrete wall. RCS and HD are variable construction kit systems for a wide range of applications – Peri RCS (Rail Climbing System) is the new, modular rail climbing system and HDT main beams, together with HD 200 heavy-duty props, form extremely stable main beam areas for use in road construction projects.

The semi-circular positioned reinforced concrete columns in the distribution structure for the ramps exhibit a triangular-shaped ground plan with 1.30 m leg lengths. The Peri concept, on the basis of VARIO GT 24 wall formwork, allows the columns to be constructed in one pour for the complete height of almost twelve metres – likewise, without any visible tie positions. Both of the formwork sets being used each consist of only two individual elements so that not only can striking and shuttering be efficiently carried out but also moving with the crane. This means site crews are in a position to cost-effectively construct one column per day with each featuring an excellent architectural concrete finish.
