| Hitachi Power Tools announces new appointments Hitachi Koki USA, Ltd., (Hitachi Power Tools) announced new appointments to its c-level management structure. Hiro Yumoto was appointed chief executive officer of North American business. Yumoto previously served as general manager for Hitachi Power Tools in Canada since 1997. Prior to then, he was director for Hitachi Power Tools in the United Kingdom. Yumoto first joined Hitachi in 1988. The company also named Steve Karaga chief operating officer of the power tool division in North America. Karaga was previously executive vp/director since 1996. Prior to that he was national sales manager for Hitachi Power Tools; he joined the company in 1991.
