| Jacobs receives prestigious contract with U.K. Ministry of Defence Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced that it received a contract to provide specialist technical services to the U.K. Ministry of Defence's (MOD) Superintendent Nuclear Works (SNW) at HM Naval Base Devonport, Plymouth. The contract has a base period of 3 years and an option for a 3-year extension. Jacobs will deliver a range of services, including nuclear engineering and safety case advice, civil and structural engineering with construction monitoring and oversight, business case and project delivery, and risk and commercial advice for MOD projects at the submarine dockyard at Devonport and naval bases in the U.K. Jacobs' team initially will be based at Devonport and will support SNW in a number of areas across its work program, including developing future nuclear facilities at the base, hosting Balance of Investment workshops, and preparing Near Term Work Plans and Life Cycle Baselines as well as a U.K.-wide Staged Improvement Plan. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Construction News :: home page |
