Leighton teams with K2RQ Alliance to duplicate rail line in Sydney

Australia's Leighton Contractors will team with the Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation, Maunsell Australia, Sinclair Knight Merz, MVM Rail and Union Switch & Signal (K2RQ Alliance) to deliver the duplication of rail lines between Kingsgrove and Revesby stations with a total value of approximately $450 million. As part of the government's $1.8 billion Clearways program to separate train lines, Kingsgrove to Revesby Quadruplication Project aims to alleviate the bottleneck created on the rail line between the Kingsgrove and Revesby stations, in Sydney's south-west.

The two-year project will also require the construction of 10 new rail bridges, modifications to five existing bridges and a new overhead concourse and lift at Revesby station.
