| Bilfinger Berger erecting new bridge in Vietnam German construction giant Bilfinger Berger is erecting another major cable-stayed bridge in Vietnam. The new, two-kilometer long Phu My Bridge across the Saigon River will provide significant relief for inner-city traffic in Ho Chi Minh City, which has a population of six million. The core of the structure is a 700-meter long cable-stayed construction supported by two 140-meter high pylons. The project has a volume of €80 million. Bilfinger Berger previously built the My Thuan cable-stayed bridge across the Mekong River between 1997 and 2000. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Construction News :: home page |
