| Washington Group encourages girls to pursue technical careers  Washington Group International and the Washington Group Foundation announced a $10,000 contribution to the annual "Girls Exploring Science, Engineering & Technology" event, set for April 10 at the Colorado Convention Center. The event, expected to draw 1,400 sixth- and seventh-grade girls from throughout Colorado, presents a unique opportunity for girls to experience a day of hands-on, inquiry-based workshops aimed at increasing their interest in technical career areas. Educational organizations, local businesses and professional societies donate time and materials to offer more than 50 interactive and fun workshops.
