| Berger receives award for MRTA Initial System project Berger Group was awarded an American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Engineering Excellence Honor Award for the $1.7 billion Bangkok Metropolitan Rapid Transit Authority (MRTA) - Initial System Blue Line. The project has also won an ACEC Metropolitan Washington Engineering Excellence Grand Award. Berger, in association with Lahmayer, Sverdrup and five leading Thai engineering firms, provided design review and construction supervision for the MRTA.
