| Aecom acquires STS Consultants Los Angeles engineering giant Aecom has acquired STS Consultants, Ltd. (STS), a Vernon Hills, Ill.-based engineering consulting firm with more than 550 engineers, scientists and support personnel in 18 offices in the United States and the United Arab Emirates. The combination of Aecom, whose 28,000 staff members serve clients in more than 60 countries, and STS, which is recognized worldwide for its capabilities in complex foundations, construction services, site development, facilities support and transportation engineering, leverages the strengths of both companies. STS has earned an outstanding reputation since its founding in 1948 and has successfully completed more than 100,000 projects around the world, many of them for Fortune 500 clients.
