| Ciments Francais launches €500 million bond transaction Ciments Français, Italcementi Group's subholding for international activities, launched off its EMTN Programme a €500 million bond issue due in 2017 with a spread over the mid swaps of 60 b.p. The transaction was jointly managed by ABN AMRO, Natixis and Royal Bank of Scotland and demand exceeded the offer by four times. The bonds will be listed at the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. At the same time Ciments Français launched a partial repurchase offer which will expire on March 29 on €350 million 5.875% notes due in July 2009 with the maximum aggregate principal amount targeted being €210 million. This offer is not being made into the US or Italy.
