| German Natural Stone Award 2007 At Stone+tec 2007, which takes place in the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg from 6-9 June 2007, many exhibitors from all over the world offer a wide variety of natural stone and the technologies for its specific use in architecture. The highlights of the supporting programme at Stone+tec 2007 again include the presentation of the German Natural Stone Award on Friday morning, 8 June 2007. The architecture award worth altogether 30,000 euros is organized by the Deutscher Naturwerkstein-Verband e.V. DNV in cooperation with the Bund Deutscher Architekten BDA and its motto this time is "Interior – Architecture – Exterior: Living and Working with Natural Stone". The jury for the 13th German Natural Stone Award – architects, interior designers, landscape architects and representatives of the German natural stone industry under the chairmanship of BDA President Kaspar Kraemer – had to judge more than 90 entries this year. The favourite for the German Natural Stone Award 2007 was decided at the end of the jury session in the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg at the beginning of March: The architects Kleihues + Kleihues of Berlin will receive the German Natural Stone Award 2007 for the Galeria Kaufhof department store at Alexanderplatz in Berlin. Special merits were awarded to architects Wandel Hoefer Lorch of Saarbrücken for the Jewish religious community's synagogue in Munich, architect Max Dudler for the diocesan library in Münster, architects Gruber + Kleine-Kraneburg of Frankfurt for the MainForum office, residential and business building in Frankfurt and architects Kleihues + Kleihues of Berlin for the Maritim Congress Hotel in Berlin. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Construction News :: home page |
