| New structural glazing tape from Pres-On Pres-On introduced new SG6400 Series Structural Glazing Tape, a high-strength open cell urethane foam tape demonstrating high initial adhesion to facilitate faster on-site fabrication of storm windows and doors, curtain walls, and other building structures. Coated on both sides with a specially formulated acrylic adhesive, SG6400 tape bonds instantly with a wide range of fabrication materials including vinyl, plastics, powder paints, bare metal, and glass. In standardized testing, SG6400 delivered immediate adhesion performance of 2.6 pounds per inch on steel and aluminum, and 2.0 pounds per inch on glass. Suitable for use as a thermal break on windows and doors, SG6400 offers high environmental and aging resistance in its class. Rugged construction enables SG6400 to resist fungi and oxidation to preserve the performance as well as the appearance of building structures. Pres-On SG6400 tape is available in 1/8, ¼ or 3/8" thicknesses on rolls up to 50 feet in length. Custom widths, lengths and thickness can be ordered, as can die cuts for special applications requiring vibration and sound dampening. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Construction News :: home page |
