| Balfour Beatty net profit up 13 percent in 2006 British construction firm Balfour Beatty Plc said its full-year pre-tax profit up by 13% to 152 million pounds. The company's order book rose 20 percent to 9.1 billion pounds. Adjusted earnings per share up by 13% to 27.3 pounds. Balfour Beatty proposed final dividend of 5.2 pence a share, taking the total to 9.1p, up 12 percent from a year ago.
