| New concrete forming system from Metal Forms A new concept in radius concrete forming has been developed and engineered by Metal Forms Corporation. The new system, Xtra-Flex, is designed to be extremely flexible in order to form extra tight radii, returns, and circles. A standard 10-foot length will form a 38" circle and can be bent to achieve a radius as small as 6". The system is made of high-density polyethylene that can be reused over 100 times; the forms are pre-drilled with holes on 1-foot centers to attach to the bolt-on steel stake pockets, making them easy to set and strip; the stake pocket locking knob permits fast no-tool vertical adjustment of the form to a stringline; and the splice-type steel end connection provides a tight joint between forms, eliminating toe-nailing and other splicing. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Construction News :: home page |
