| Vinci JV wins motorway widening contract in the UK The UK Highways Agency has awarded the first phase of the design-build contract for widening a section of the M1 to the MVM joint venture, made up of Vinci Construction Grands Projets (33%), Morgan Est (33%) and Sir Robert McAlpine (33%), supported by engineering firms WSP and Gifford. The first phase covers the design and costing of the project, which involves widening a 23 km section of the motorway near Nottingham from a dual 3-lane carriageway to a dual 4-lane carriageway.
