| Thiess Services awarded $287M contracts in NSW and QLD ![]() In Queensland, Thiess Services has been awarded waste collection and recycling contracts for Pine Rivers Shire Council and Caloundra City Council. Three contracts have been awarded to make up the works for Pine Rivers Shire Council, covering the collection of refuse and recyclables, and the construction and operation of a new MRF. In total, the works are valued at approximately $33 million. All three contracts commence on 1 July 2007. The two collection contracts are for a 5-year term, and the MRF contract is for 10 years. The Caloundra City Council contract covers a wide range of waste and recycling collections, both from households and other Council facilities, and the operation of waste transfer stations.
