| Thiess wins waste management contracts for EUR 264 m Hochtief subsidiary Leighton Holdings Limited - via its own subsidiary Thiess Pty Ltd. - has secured new contracts in the field of waste management. The contracts with local governments in Australia have a total volume of over EUR 264 million and comprise waste recovery, sorting and recycling. Thiess will assume responsibility for waste management for the local government areas of Gosford und Wyong in New South Wales as from February 2008. The relevant contracts are for a period of ten years and are worth a total of EUR 133 million. In Queensland, Thiess has concluded collection and recycling agreements for green and bulk waste with the councils of Pine Rivers Shire (EUR 20 million) and Caloundra (EUR 21 million).
