| Thiess Services to treat waste in Brisbane City Thiess Services has entered into an Alliance with Brisbane City Council to manage the City's four Transfer Stations and landfill site at Rochedale. The term of the Alliance is for an initial seven years and is valued at $150 million. The agreement includes options to extend the Alliance for a further 5 years. Known as the Brisbane Waste Innovations Alliance (BWIA), the focus of the Alliance is to provide the City of Brisbane with innovative waste management solutions. Brisbane generates approximately 520,000 tonnes of waste per annum.
