| PB-led consortium provides assistance to EU beneficiary countries An international consortium led by US-based engineering firm Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB) has been selected for the European Investment Bank's JASPERS (Joint Assistance to Support Projects in European Regions) framework contract. The framework covers both national and regional transport infrastructure (road, rail, air, river and ports), urban road infrastructure and public transport. PB and its consortium members, Ecorys, Gide Loyrette Nouel and PKF, will provide technical assistance to the beneficiary country on large projects from the very early stages through to the final application for grant support. JASPERS works in close cooperation with the European Commission and the national authorities within European Union beneficiary countries to assist in producing mature project proposals. Beneficiary countries include Bulgaria and Romania, which are due to become EU member states in January 2007, as well as the 10 acceded member states that joined in 2004. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
