| Bilfinger Berger to build correctional facility in Saxony-Anhalt German construction group Bilfinger Berger has now received an order to design, finance, build and, over a period of 25 years, operate the correctional facility in Burg, near Magdeburg within the framework of a public-private partnership (PPP) model. For the first time in Germany, all non-sovereign activities in the construction and operation of a correctional facility will be fully privatized. The facility, which can accommodate 650 prisoners, will go into operation in 2009.
