| Lafarge inaugurates new production line in Marocco Lafarge inaugurates a new production line at the Bouskoura plant near Casablanca. The new line will significantly increase the group's cement production capacity in Morocco. Representing an investment of 80 million euros, the new line has an annual production capacity of 900,000 tons, bringing the total production capacity of the Bouskoura cement plant to 3 million tons. This project is part of Lafarge Maroc's dynamic investment policy, which aims to adapt to a fast-growing market and to finish modernizing production facilities. Since 2000, Lafarge Maroc has increased its cement production capacity by 50% to 5.4 million tons, while pursuing the development of its other business lines. Bouskoura is the only cement plant in Morocco with white cement grinding and bagging facilities. At the same time, the Bouskoura plant has launched a performance enhancement program by introducing a quality/environment integrated management system (ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications). write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
