| Hochtief supports ’Solar Decathlon 2007’ contest Hochtief is supporting Darmstadt Technical University in connection with its participation in the international research project "Solar Decathlon 2007". Worldwide, 20 universities are taking part in this contest to design, realize and operate visionary residential buildings which run on solar energy. Hochtief is providing Darmstadt Technical University "Team Germany" with financial backing and expert assistance. The contest, launched by the US Department of Energy, is intended to highlight the potential of solar energy in the construction sector. Every house in the contest will be appraised on the basis of ten criteria to assess its energy efficiency and sustainability.
