Iberdrola to develop electric power plants in Germany

SüdWestStrom Kraftwerk GmbH & Co KG to study the development of several electric power generation plants in Germany, an initiative that is framed within the company’s interest in reinforcing its international expansion and increasing its presence in this country’s market. SüdWestStrom Kraftwerk GmbH & Co KG to study the development of several electric power generation plants in Germany, an initiative that is framed within the company’s interest in reinforcing its international expansion and increasing its presence in this country’s market. This initiative is in addition to Iberdrola's project to install two combined cycle plants in Germany. Specifically, the company has started the procedures to build two gas plants whose combined installed power is approximately 2,000 MW. These facilities, which will be located at the sites of Ludwigsau (the State of Hessen) and Lauchhammer (the State of Brandenburg), could be operational between 2010 and 2011.
