| Rickenbacker V named ’Largest Industrial Building of the Year’ Opus North announced that the central Ohio chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties awarded the Opus Business Center at Rickenbacker – Building V with the "Largest Industrial Building of the Year" distinction. Rickenbacker V was selected from eight finalists. The award is the third win for Opus North's industrial buildings, joining Rickenbacker III and IV. Rickenbacker V was 90 percent leased before substantial completion and sold earlier this year. Upon completion, it was the largest speculative building in the area. This past April, Yokohama Tire Corp. signed a lease at Rickenbacker V. The 753, 270-square-foot distribution center is situated on approximately 40 acres of land in the Groveport, Ohio, submarket of Columbus and is the largest spec building in the area. The facility, designed by Opus Architects & Engineers, is located at Opus Business Center at Rickenbacker just 2.5 miles south of Interstate 270 at the intersection of Opus Drive and Green Pointe Drive. Completed in January 2006, the state-of-the-art facility has a flow-through design and offers 36-foot clear height, an ESFR sprinkler system and parking available for 237 automobiles (expandable to 383), 90 truck docks (expandable to 157) and four drive-in doors. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
