Bilfinger Berger again raises net profit forecast

Bilfinger Berger expects a significant earnings increase beyond the previous forecast and now plans a net profit in financial year 2006 of approximately €90 million (2005: €66 million).

A contributing factor in this development is the sale of Ship Technologies which, in the course of Bilfinger Berger Industrial Services' concentration on its core competences, has been sold to Nord Holding Unternehmensbeteiligungsgesellschaft mbH in Hanover. Ship Technologies is involved in interior fittings and the insulation of ships, generating an output volume of approximately €85 million with 260 employees. These activities were part of the former Rheinhold & Mahla AG which was acquired by Bilfinger Berger in 2002, but are not in line with the company's core business.
