| Centrica secures exploration licence block in Egypt Centrica plc has secured a 30 per cent interest in an Egyptian licence block, as part of its strategy to secure future supplies for its British Gas customers from a range of international sources. Centrica will join Sipetrol and PTTEP as a partner in the Rommana block, which was awarded in the EGAS 2006 International licence round. Sipetrol, which has existing production operations in the Western Desert area of Egypt, will be operator.
