New home automation system from Shea Homes

Shea Homes announces the next generation of home automation system. The new technology developed by LiTera allows homebuyers entree to built-in home surveillance, guard gate cameras and more. Each home now has the ability to be accessed by a new state-of-the-art GoAccess Portal giving 'eyes and ears' access to their home and its technology.

GoAccess allows remote access to see and hear everything online through a personal, secure website, compatible TV, and in- home touch screen monitor. Providing connectivity to homes for on-the-go homeowners, GoAccess has the capability to record internal and external areas of the home, sync and manage other compatible electronics such as lighting, air and heating or sprinkler systems, utilize home PCs from any location, and monitor children's online activities and conversations through LiTera's PredatorWatch program. In addition to securing the family, home and investments, LiTera technology helps homeowners by reducing theft and insurance costs.

With the GoAccess Portal homeowners receive e-mails when there has been movement at their homes' front or back doors. Additionally, parents can monitor computer activity with the GoAccess technology so that they are alerted when a child types or receives an e-mail with key predator phrases such as 'don't tell' and 'meet me'. Other remote features include the ability to record on DVR activity at the home entries, opening doors and garages to allow access to the home, and the monitoring of community guard gate cameras.

In addition to home monitoring access, members can also take advantage of other GoAccess Portal capabilities from the home's touch screen located in the kitchen, such as online shopping through the local grocer, listening to music, browsing the Internet, to looking up recipes for dinner.
