| Parsons to provide services for City of Atlanta QOL Bond Program Parsons' contract to provide program and construction management services for the City of Atlanta Quality of Life (QOL) Bond Program has been renewed for a third year. This $150 million program addresses the increasing re-urbanization in and around the City of Atlanta by developing, preserving, and enhancing areas and transportation in a manner that encourages neighborhood livability, pedestrian mobility, and overall quality of life improvement. Parsons' joint venture—Parsons/US Infrastructure PCMT—is in its third year of a master contract to provide a wide range of program and construction management services to assist Atlanta's Department of Public Works in executing the 2,000 projects that comprise the QOL Bond Program. Together, in 2005 the City of Atlanta personnel and the joint venture team completed 223 sidewalk projects, 18 greenspace enhancement projects, 359 street resurfacing/bridge-related projects, and 224 traffic improvement projects—all within budget and on schedule. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
