Carillion secures contract with Norwich Union

Construction and services company Carillion has secured a contract to provide Claims Management for Norwich Union's property-related insurance claims. The three-year contract is worth £120 million a year.

Key features of the new contract include the creation of six regional customer centres in the South-east, South-west, the Midlands, Yorkshire, the North-west and Scotland and the use of leading-edge web-portal technology, which provides Norwich Union with up-to-date contract information.

The new contract commences later this year. The transition to the regionalised facilities will take place during 2006 and be fully operational by mid 2007. As part of this agreement Carillion will continue to utilise other members of Norwich Union's Supply Chain.
