New 3D laser probe from Laser Design

Laser Design announces new 3D laser scanning probe with a long laser line and dual CMOS receptors. The lightweight SLP-2000 laser probe has an 8" laser line length and captures 50,000 to 75,000 points per second, depending on the application, making it an excellent choice for high-speed, non-contact 3D scanning of medium and large objects. The dual receptors reduce the number of scanning passes because they capture much more part geometry per pass than single receptor laser probes. The SLP-2000 is also integrated with Laser Design's Surveyor Scan Control software and Surveyor 3D scanning systems.

The new SLP-2000 can be used interchangeably with portable Faro CMMs, traditional CMMs and Laser Design's own Surveyor DS, CS, DT, and TS-Series 3D Laser Scanning Systems that provide highly automated, programmable scanning of parts or objects.
