| Paris' first HQE certification for Bouygues building The Bouygues head-office building at 32 Avenue Hoche in Paris received "NF Bâtiments tertiaires – Démarche HQE (Haute Qualité Environnementale)" certification for high environmental quality in office buildings, as recognised by the French standards organisation. Thirteen criteria were ranked high or very high in the appraisal, while only seven are required for certification. Bouygues implemented the HQE procedure at its new head-office building, from design through to handover, including control of the environmental impact of construction and maintenance and comfort in terms of olfactory, visual, acoustic and humidity factors. The Bouygues head office at 32 Avenue Hoche was the third private-sector building in France to be certified, and Paris' first in any category. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
