| Kolbe presents new push-out casements Kolbe presents its new push-out casement and awning windows for easy operation and elegant style. Kolbe's standard push-out casement and awning windows showcase an unobtrusive, lever handle in an oil-rubbed finish that operates a single-point lock. The sash swings open with a simple push of the lever and stainless steel friction hinges keep the open sash in place. Natural brass or satin nickel handle finishes and multi-point locks may be specially requested. When windows are opened to enjoy fresh air and natural ventilation, Kolbe offers two screen options to keep out insects. Inswing hinged screens feature magnetic catches and a pull knob that matches the units' lever handle. Alternatively, retractable screens can be pulled down when windows are opened, but retracted to allow for unobstructed views when windows are closed. The screens' mesh and frame colors can be specified to complement the surrounding décor and design. Push-out casements and awnings are available as either Heritage wood or Ultra clad units. Both product lines provide a wide array of interior trims and exterior finishes for maximum design flexibility. These windows are typically constructed of pine, but Kolbe can draw from a long list of wood species to match the desired architectural palette. Another benefit to Kolbe's new push-out casement and awning windows is its LoE2 insulating glass with argon gas, which contributes to energy-efficient performance and a quiet, comfortable interior. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
