Spirax Sarco introduces Spira-Trol control valve

Spirax Sarco has released a new general service control valve, the Spira-Trol. With its fully modular design, the two-port Spira-Trol control valve is engineered for refined performance and wide rangeability in applications including food & beverage, pharmaceutical, rubber, plastics, metals, chemicals and electronics manufacturing. Both ANSI and EN versions share the same internals, and only three pneumatic actuators are required for valves up to 4" in size. The Spira-Trol incorporates self-aligning and clamp-in-place internals for ease of maintenance.

Its hard trim materials and modular design diffuses the discharge from the plug and seat, as well as reduces internal flow velocities to minimize internal erosion. This ensures long stem seal life, extends valve life and reduces valve maintenance.

Standard offering includes cast iron, SG iron, carbon steel, stainless steel or NACE construction; equal percentage, linear or fast-opening flow characteristic; ½- to 4" sizes with standard or customer-defi ned centre face dimensions; and ANSI, PN, JIS, KS, NPT, BSP or SW connections. Additional valve options include electric, pneumatic or modulating actuation; external control system interface; non-contact feedback positioners; low noise, soft seal or hard facing trims; extended bonnets; PTFE chevron and graphite rings; and reduced flow characteristic.
