Hochtief wins contract for BMW Welt and BMW Museum

Hochtief will be responsible for facility management at the new BMW Welt complex and at the BMW Museum in Munich. The joint venture comprises Hochtief Facility Management GmbH (49 percent), the Piepenbrock group of companies (36 percent) and A.S. Advanced Security & Services AG (15 percent). After having cooperated successfully for five years at BMW's Wackersdorf Innovation Park within the framework of a facility management contract, the BMW Group and Hochtief now also decided to extend this contract by another five years.

Hochtief Facility Management and its partners will handle the entire facility management at the BMW Welt and at the BMW Museum. The Hochtief subsidiary's responsibility will include operation of the complex building, event and conference technology.

As well as BMW AG, there are ten automotive supply companies and three service enterprises based in the Wackersdorf Innovation Park. BMW and the ancillary suppliers make components here for nearly all BMW series and the BMW international supply center uses the Innovation Park as a base for supplying vehicle parts to BMW manufacturing plants worldwide. Hochtief Facility Management is the FM service-provider on site with full responsibility for the technical operation of the properties.
