CP Series engines for commercial equipment

Briggs & Stratton Commercial Power announced the launch of its commercial CP550 and CP650 engines. The new CP Series engines represent a robust power solution for a wide variety of small commercial equipment in the 5½- to 6½-horsepower range. The new engines include a number of features that ease regular maintenance and extend service intervals on CP Series engines. A high-mount oil-fill makes it quick and easy to check and add oil, and a standard Run Sense low-oil sensor electronically monitors oil levels to prevent premature wear from insufficient lubrication.

An easy-to-reach fuel shut-off valve facilitates safe and easy transport, and the panel-style high-capacity air filter includes a filter pre-cleaner and debris-ejection slots to provide superior engine protection, easy servicing and extended service intervals.

Features include:
- Compact overhead valve design. Runs cooler and cleaner, delivering more power, longer engine life and increased fuel economy.
- Dual ball bearing crankshaft. Offers higher load carrying capacity, extended service life, and is easily replaceable.
- Dura-bore cast iron cylinder sleeve. Provides maximum durability with improved oil control.
- One-start carburetor. Delivers fuel fast for one-pull starts and smooth, efficient operation.
- Premium lo-tone muffler. Provides exceptional sound quality and safe operation.
