| Hitachi Power Tools introduces Power Reach Hitachi Power Tools announced its new Power Reach adapter system that extends the reach of a rotary hammer or hammer drill by 12" up to 43" allowing the user to drill overhead, down into water or through a large chunk of concrete with ease. The Hitachi Power Reach provides a simple three-piece system that quickly connects to adapt to different applications, accepts any SDS Max bit and eliminates any loss of power. Power Reach was designed to expand the capabilities of concrete drilling tools. With this system from Hitachi, a user can now drill into concrete overhead without the use of a ladder or scaffolding, drill down into an access hole while standing upright, drill underwater as long as the tool remains above, drill all the way through a 6' slab of concrete and generally get into otherwise inaccessible places without trouble. The Power Reach consists of an adapter, extension rod and any SDS max bit. The energy generated from the tool transfers completely through the adapter to the bit so power is not compromised. The overall system is less expensive and any SDS max bit can be used. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
