| Jacobs receives contract in Virginia Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced that a subsidiary company received a contract from the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) for the Hampton Roads District to perform construction engineering and inspection services. Jacobs will provide VDOT's construction management and construction inspection team with services that include monitoring and inspecting roadway construction projects to ensure that contractors comply with the plans, specifications, and special provisions of their contracts. Jacobs is also providing engineering support: shop drawing review, schedule review and analysis, and notice of intent analysis. The contract covers infrastructure projects that serve VDOT in the Hampton Roads region.
