| Coop HimmelB(l)au's design selected for fair extension in Italy  Coop HimmelB(l)au's design "Cloud Roof" selected as the winning project for the extension of the trade fair in Riva del Garda, Italy. The work will be completed in 2009 and comprises a net investment of 25,5 mln euro. The project "Cloud Roof" proposes to create a highly recognizable and unique architectonic icon for both the city of Riva and the 'Garda Trentino Fiere'. The main element of the design proposal is conceived as a continuous sculptural roof, which loosely frames permeable plazas, a main public boulevard and the fair pavilions in one continuous space.The roof acts as a virtual sky enabling the collection of the multiple parts of the "Fiere" into a coherent ensemble with a consistent image and multiple functionality. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
