| Barratt scoops top honours at UK Housebuilder Innovation awards  The Barratt Group has swept the board in the 2006 Housebuilding Innovation Awards, scooping four top honours – including the supreme category for large-scale developers. Barratt took the main Housebuilding Innovator of the Year award after winning three individual categories outright: the Environmental Award, Best Partnership with a Commercial Developer, and Best Example of Community Consultation. The company was also shortlisted in three further categories.Sponsored by the Home Builders Federation and endorsed by the Department for Communities and Local Government, the Housebuilding Innovation Awards are judged by a panel of experts seeking innovation that makes "a real, tangible difference to employees, customers and communities in which the companies work, showing a commitment to the long-term success of initiatives and not simply paying lip service to the concept."
