| Alfred McAlpine wins over £120m of new contracts Alfred McAlpine, the support services group, announces new contract wins worth over £120m. The largest of these is a £40m contract from tie Ltd under which Alfred McAlpine will deliver the protection and diversion of telecoms, gas, water and electricity services required for the construction of the Edinburgh tram network. Utility diversion work is scheduled to commence in Spring 2007. Separately Alfred McAlpine announces that it has secured a series of new construction contracts with a combined value in excess of £80m.
