| Building materials recycling at bauma 2007 bauma 2007, the 28th International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines, Construction Vehicles and Construction Equipment, to be held from 23 to 29 April 2007 in Munich, will offer a complete overview of the newest plants and machinery and requisite equipment for the process chain of building materials recycling. What is the throughput in tons that can be achieved per hour? What is the proportion of oversized grain? How homogeneous is the final grain? How quickly and efficiently can a semi-mobile plant be dismantled and reinstalled at another location? What is the downtime period when foreign matters get caught up in a crusher? How long does it take to exchange a screen? These are issues to which numerous manufacturers respond by ever-more complex technology, high-grade component assemblies and automated processes. The trend towards mobile plant concepts continues unbroken. Wheel mobile recycling plants mounted on modified flatbed trailers promise high mobility, just like crawler mobile concepts. The latter either consist of a combined crushing and screening plant or a closed circuit crushing plant with separate screening plant. In all cases, functional remote control concepts which allow optimized human resource allocation prove their worth. A cost factor which is also responsible for many other automated processes. According to the manufacturers, further innovations and improvements can be expected at next year's bauma. At the same time, environmental compatibility is also gaining in importance. The range of possibilities extends from dust suppression to emission- and immission-optimized drives and includes crushing noise reduction. Due to their different composition, demolition waste, and particularly construction site waste make high demands on recycling plants. Reinforced concrete, for instance, can lead to disturbances in the crusher area. Besides magnetic separators, various crusher manufacturers are therefore offering additional solutions, as for example an automatic crusher gap opening, to ensure continuity of the production process. In addition, preparation processes such as wind separation, material washing and sorting belts provide for a quick separation of undesirable matters such as paper, plastics or wood. Where these possibilities are not sufficient, the market meanwhile also offers X-ray machines to distinguish inorganic from organic parts. In this connection, the current price structure in the disposal market allows for amortisation times of less than half a year. A subject which will be covered in detail on the occasion of bauma 2007. Recycling construction materials are second-hand construction materials of first-class quality. This is due to the fact that their recovery is subject to strict quality regulations. They still are of greatest importance in road construction as anti-freeze or gravel-carrying layers. Further emphases include aggregates for the production of concrete or the recycling of asphalt granulates for new asphalt layers. Using modern procedures such as the finite-element method, as well as robust electronic parts and ever more refined sequence processes, manufacturers will present a wide range of high-performance products again on the occasion of bauma 2007 which will be organised from 23 to 29 April 2007 in Munich. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
