DeWalt introduces jobsite table saw

DeWalt announced the launch of its new 10" compact jobsite table saw, DW744X. Ideal for general contractors, framers, remodelers, custom carpenters, cabinet installers, and window and door installers, the DW744X is designed to cut heavy hardwood materials including plywood, pressure treated lumber, wafer-board sheathing, 2x and 4x materials, floors, doors and stairs. The DW744X is equipped with a 15A, 2,600 MWO motor, which delivers enough power and torque to cut hardwoods, pressure treated and specialty building products like LVL and TREX.

For added power, DeWalt built the table saw with an electronic module that helps maintain blade speed and cutting torque when dense materials or difficult applications like dados are being cut. Additionally, a soft start feature helps to create a smooth, quiet start-up. For additional performance, panel perforations on the front panel of the saw facilitate cooling and air flow to the motor for better durability.

To improve accuracy, DeWalt equipped the DW744X with a patented Rack & Pinion fence system, which maintains the accuracy of the cut within 1/64". The dial-operated Rack & Pinion rail design allows the fence to remain parallel to the blade as users adjust the width of the rip. Additionally, the fence is designed with a telescoping feature that provides 24" of rip capacity to the right of the blade, allowing the user to easily split for 4'x 8' sheet goods.

At 58lbs, this portable table saw allows users to easily transport the unit to various jobsite locations with ease. The DW744X is shipped with a compact, lightweight stand. The all-metal tube steel stand folds flat for storage or transportation.
