Jacobs to expand BP Amsterdam Terminal

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced that a subsidiary company received a contract to provide basic engineering, procurement, and construction services to expand BP's terminal throughput capacity at the Port of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The project, with a total investment cost of over euro 50 million, will expand BP's distribution infrastructure with new jetties and modifications to existing facilities, storage tanks and infrastructure. The project involves separate basic engineering and implementation phases with completion anticipated by early 2008.

The BP Amsterdam Terminal (BAT) is a strategic link in BP's European supply and distribution network for fuel products. The project will enable the BAT to handle more vessels and significantly increase its throughput. Amsterdam Harbor authorities are pleased with BP's expansion plans as they will further strengthen the port as a hub for the oil products market.
