| Avantex and Techtextil symposiums launch ’call for papers’ Avantex and Techtextil symposiums will take place in parallel to the two trade fairs: Avantex, International Trade Fair for Innovative Apparel Textiles and Techtextil, International Trade Fair for Technical Textiles and Nonwovens. The fairs will be open from 12 to 14 June 2007 in Frankfurt am Main. The final date for submitting lecture proposals is 31 October 2006. The aim of both symposiums is to generate new impulses for the sectors concerned, to give a boost to interdisciplinary communication and to provide information about new developments and examples of applications. Current developments and trends for new and innovative apparel textiles improve not only the properties and, therefore, the areas of application for garments but also permit new kinds of clothing. This is connected with an increased demand for information and communication. The Avantex Symposium offers this opportunity, combined with the chance to enter into an interdisciplinary dialogue. Techtextil Symposium gives manufacturers and users the chance to obtain and discuss information on an interdisciplinary basis. Several different subjects will be covered in lecture blocks. The following focal-point themes are planned: 1.Composites: Reinforcement textiles, composite textiles, textile-reinforced materials 2.Material+Technology: Fibres, textiles, nonwovens, technology, processes, nano-materials, new surfaces 3.Medtech: Textiles for medicine and hygiene 4.Mobiltech: Textile applications in automobile manufacturing, railway vehicles, aerospace, shipping and bicycle segments. 5.Buildtech: Membrane construction – textile architecture e.g. events, membrane construction, lightweight buildings, civil engineering, sliding roofs, environmental protection 6.Buildtech: Textile reinforcement – new possibilities for solid structures e.g., textile-reinforced concrete, textile-reinforced wood and textile-reinforced plastic for use in wooden structures, civil engineering, bridge building, underground structures, earthworks. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
