| Lighting Science Group develops R-16 LED lamp  OSRAM Opto Semiconductors and the Lighting Science Group Corporation announced that the OSRAM Opto Semiconductors OSTAR lighting product will be utilized in LSG's new LED-based R-16 compact floodlight for use in the industrial, commercial and consumer markets. OSRAM Opto Semiconductors will provide its OSTAR six-chip series LED containing its advanced, patented ThinGaN technology for LSG to incorporate with its patented Optimized Digital Lighting technology. The finished R-16 lamp will enable a long-life, efficient, easy to install, high output solid state lighting solution for various packages.The LED R-16 lamp from LSG will contain a single OSTAR six-series chip design with lens. The OSTAR's unique chip design is ideal for down lighting as it delivers exceptional brightness from a very small source. Its hexagonal shape also enables more LEDs to be linked together in space-saving, high-intensity packages.
