| Atkins engineering geologist collects The Glossop Award Atkins engineering geologist Joe Appleby has beaten stiff competition to win The Glossop Award, 2006 - an annual award made by the Geological Society. Joe's submission on 'Reedness river bank stability: an engineering geological approach' so impressed judges that he was invited to present his work at a special evening event at the International Association of Engineering Geology Congress, held at Nottingham University. The Glossop Award is presented to recognise outstanding work from an engineering geologist under 30 years old. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
