| Duke Realty redevelops General Motors site Duke Realty Corporation will develop a state-of-the-art 528,000-square-foot industrial building on the site of the former General Motors parts facility in Hazelwood. The Lindbergh Distribution Center will be the largest bulk distribution center built on a speculative basis in the State of Missouri. Duke Realty purchased the site in April after General Motors announced it would close the facility as part of a nationwide restructuring plan. Demolition of the current buildings on the site and construction of the new Duke Realty facility has begun, with project completion in June 2007. The new 25-acre Lindbergh Distribution Center will have numerous first-class amenities that expanding warehousing and logistics companies are looking for in a new facility. With its 32' ceilings, a cross-dock design, abundant trailer and automobile parking plus superior access to Interstate 70 and 270, the Center will give companies the ability to utilize the latest technology and warehouse more products in their new space.
