American Insulock files new patent for "screw strips"

American Insulock Inc. announced that on September 20, 2006 the Mesa Arizona office of American Insulock, Inc. filed for a patent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

This new invention will greatly enhance the polyurethane block that has been the core of the Insulock technology. This invention provides for plastic pieces to be integrally manufactured into the block. The plastic "screw strips" will provide a place for contractors to more easily attach drywall to the interior of the block and attach siding to the exterior of the block.

The "screw strips" were invented by Mr. Robert Jamieson, Company president, who runs the Mesa Arizona facility. The "screw strips" form a pattern on the wall when the blocks are stacked. This pattern is what the contractor will use to secure this product. The Insulock blocks can now be manufactured with the " screw strips" at different distances apart.
